Bob Dylan: "Tombstone Blues" from the album "Highway 61 Revisited", 19655 comments on "Tombstone Blues"![]() "Highway 61 Revisited", Track #2 CASSIUS: Rock 'n' Roll may have become unpopular by the early sixties but this kid brought it back with a vengeance. Chuck Berry meets Jack Kerouac. (05/19/11) DIANA: A very addictive, unusual and generally underrated song. (09/14/09) JEFT: This song contains many of Dylan's most hysterical lines, rhymes and insane poetic imagery! From Jezebel The Nun violently knitting a bald wig for Jack The Ripper of the Chamber Of Commerce, to rhyming the word "poison" with the phrase, "let the boys in" and then having John the Baptist ask the fly-chasing Commander-In-Chief the immortal question, "Is there a hole for me to get sick in?" ---the most brilliantly funny set of lyrics that I've ever heard or read. (04/07/09) JIM B.: it's funny you don't often hear it said but i think this song is about, at least in part, vietnam. a classic "the geometry of innocent flesh on the bone, causes galilieo's math book to get thrown!!! fantastic. (12/20/07) DYLAN MATTINGLY: The sun's not yellow it's chicken! (05/12/05) |
