I was instead introduced to Ring Them Bells via Gordon Lightfoot’s cover a few years later. He must have finally been returning the favor for that Early Morning Rain swipe on Self Portrait. Anyway, I finally caught up to Oh Mercy a decade later. What a fantastic album full of minor gems. Ring them bells indeed. (05/27/10) SHAZBABY: this is a true masterpiece, I have been moved to tears listening to this one (06/26/06)
