CHRIS STONE: this is one of the great unsung dylan classics along with i'llkeep it with mine and carribean wind. (01/02/10)

HUGH FIGGIS: An absolute corker of a song! One of his three best 'outcuts'(the others being Caribbean Wind and Blind Willie McTell) this song was left off Blood on the Tracks. The only possible explanation for such a serious omission was that it has a similar tune to Shelter from the Storm. In any event the singer is trying to get back to the girl as in Tangled up in Blue and the song highlights Dylan's wonderful and witty facility with words as they seem to flow over the listener. This is the only song where Dylan refers to his own harmonica playing. He also poses as having worked as a 'postal clerk' ! Not likely! (08/11/09)
