Bob Dylan: "Red River Shore" from the album "The Bootleg Series Vol. 8 - Tell Tale Signs: Rare and Unreleased 1989-2006", 20088 comments on "Red River Shore"![]() "The Bootleg Series Vol. 8 - Tell Tale Signs: Rare and Unreleased 1989-2006", Track #5 CHUCK: Dylan's greatest love song, absolutely lovely. How could this have missed the cut so many times? (08/30/11) ALIAS: To me, this song draws together much Bob Dylan has written about in his songs down the years on the subjects of the Great Muse, yearning, sorrow, loss and hope. It is just magnificent, and rewards repeat listenings amply. (05/19/11) TOM: This song and High Water are among the most underrated Dylan songs in my opinion. Great comments from the 5 before me. (05/19/11) JESSICA: This is simply the most beautiful song I have ever heard. (01/21/11) MARK: This is a great, great song. (08/07/10) RUSSELL: Hypnotic and classic Dylan builds into a creshendo of regret, sorrow and loneliness (03/07/10) OLLE: One of his best songs ever. I've tried to talk everyone into listeneing to RRS. Started every morning för a month listening to it. (09/11/09) SLUMDOG: This is classic Dylan. Great words, great melody and arrangement. What strikes me about this song is Dylans world weary vocal. You can hear regret and pain in his voice as well as sounding like the loneliest man on earth. (02/17/09) |
